Centre Accreditation Panel

The EAHAD Accreditation Panel for European Haemophilia Centres is established under the EAHAD Accreditation and Audit of Haemophilia Centres Working Group. The purpose of the Panel is to support the accreditation of European Haemophilia Centres by reviewing applications submitted to EAHAD and assessing whether applicant centres meet the requirements set out in the current EAHAD guidelines for European Haemophilia Centres.

The Accreditation Panel is responsible for:

  • reviewing applications submitted by haemophilia centres seeking recognition as a European Haemophilia Treatment Centre (EHTC), European Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre (EHCCC), or any other EAHAD-approved centre category included in the accreditation framework;
  • assessing applications against the current EAHAD guidelines and certification criteria;
  • determining, where relevant, the most appropriate accreditation category based on the information provided by the applicant centre;
  • requesting clarification or additional documentation from applicant centres where necessary;
  • identifying applications that may require further review, follow-up, or referral to the audit process;
  • advising the Accreditation and Audit Working Group on recurring issues identified through the application review process;
  • contributing, where requested, to future revisions of the accreditation application form, review process, and centre guidelines.
