Call for Applications: EAHAD Executive Committee

The European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders is inviting all active members to apply for up to six (6) positions on its Executive Committee.

To apply to join the Executive Committee, please complete the nomination formNomination forms must be signed by one (1) member of EAHAD. All nominees must complete a Declaration of Interests FormYour completed form must be received by Friday, 14 November 2025.

A voting process will be set up (either before or during the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 5 February 2026 during the 19th EAHAD Annual Congress. Election results will be announced then and there.

Please note that in order to be considered for a place on the Executive Committee, you must be either an Ordinary, Allied Health Professional, or Junior Member of EAHADOnly Ordinary, Allied Health Professional, Honorary, or Junior Members may propose another member for consideration by the Nomination Committee.

EAHAD wishes to bring a range of perspectives to the Executive Committee and encourages nominations that reflect the diversity of the haemophilia and allied disorders field in Europe.

The nomination process is as follows:

  1. Nomination forms must be submitted to the EAHAD Office by the closing date: 14 November 2025
  2. The Nomination Committee will convene and evaluate all proposed candidates based on their professional achievements, leadership skills, and their commitment to EAHAD’s mission, as described in the personal statement included in their nomination form. Please consult the Nomination Committee Terms of Reference and below for the criteria.
  3. Following the evaluation process, the Nomination Committee will propose a list of qualified candidates to the General Assembly for election. The Nomination Committee will provide information on the application and review process to the EAHAD members in advance of the Annual General Assembly.
  4. The list of nominees will be circulated to EAHAD members with the Convening Notice to the 2025 EAHAD Annual General Meeting no later than 16 January 2026
  5. If there are more nominees than available positions, a voting process will be set up (either before or during the AGM) and this information will be communicated to all members with voting rights.
  6. Election results will be announced on Thursday 5 February 2026 at the EAHAD Annual General Meeting

Evaluation Criteria: The Nomination Committee evaluates all proposed candidates based on their professional achievements, leadership skills, and their commitment to EAHAD’s mission, as described in the personal statement included in their nomination form:

  • Membership: At least two (2) years as a member of EAHAD.
  • Professional Experience: At least five (5) years working as a healthcare provider in haemophilia and related bleeding disorders.
  • Leadership Experience: Submission of a statement of evidence demonstrating experience in a leadership role.
  • Strategic Contribution: Submission of a statement outlining how the candidate can contribute to EAHAD’s strategy and mission if elected.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration Experience: Candidates should demonstrate experience working in multidisciplinary teams within haemophilia and bleeding disorders (e.g., collaboration between physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, other disciplines and patient organizations).
  • Active Engagement in the Haemophilia Community: A record of active participation in haemophilia care and educational activities (e.g., working groups, committees, congresses, or educational initiatives) with EAHAD and/or on a national level.
