With the new changing landscape of haemophilia treatment in Europe, EAHAD, in partnership with the European Haemophilia Consortium, decided not only to continue with the certification project first started in 2013 but also to review and update it in order to reflect the specialised services required to monitor patients who may receive new treatments.
EAHAD has recently partnered with the ISTH to collaborate on an educational initiative in the field of gene therapy in haemophilia. Together we will work to develop and distribute tailored educational material for the European haemophilia practice community.

During their recent European Physiotherapists Network meeting at the EAHAD 2021 Virtual Congress this past February, our Regional Coordinators had the opportunity to give updates on what has been going on in their region, inform their colleagues on relevant initiatives and activities, as well as share any difficulties they face in their work.

In August 2020, the EAHAD Nurses Committee launched a call for applications for one new member. After carefully reviewing all applications received, the Committee chose Maria Hytti, from Estonia, to join the existing members of the group.
Brussels, Belgium, 16 February 2021 - From 2 to 5 February 2021, the EAHAD 2021 Virtual Congress took place. More than 3100 delegates – a new EAHAD Congress record - joined online for a unique learning experience. Due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, our 14th Annual Congress became a fully virtual event under the direction of the Congress Organising Committee, Prof. Flora Peyvandi, Dr Robert Klamroth, and Prof. Michael Makris. Nevertheless, the move to the virtual realm did not hinder at all the quality of the diverse sessions and presentations.
