EAHAD has recently partnered with the ISTH to collaborate on an educational initiative in the field of gene therapy in haemophilia. Together we will work to develop and distribute tailored educational material for the European haemophilia practice community.
On Wednesday, March 10, at 14.00 – 15.00 CET, we hosted a session on “Haemophilia Gene Therapy – Key Components of Clinical Care”.
EAHAD President Prof. Flora Peyvandi, past President Prof. Michael Makris, and Prof. Wolfgang Miesbach provided updates on the current clinical trial landscape and discuss models of haemophilia care and readying the multidisciplinary team for the onset of gene therapy for haemophilia. The presentations were followed by a Q&A session.
