EAHAD is delighted to announce the launch of a Working Group for Psychosocial Professionals, following the approval of a proposal to the Executive Committee in September.
The purpose of the group is to improve the psychosocial quality of care of patients with haemophilia and allied disorders throughout Europe. Enhancing psychosocial services is a crucial component of comprehensive care and, through its activities, the group aims to support psychosocial research and help form international standards of psychosocial care.
The initial members of the group are Lotte Haverman (Netherlands), Petra Bučková (Czech Republic), Ana Torres-Ortuño (Spain), Karen Vandenabeele (Belgium) and Gaby Golan (Israel). They are already hard at work planning the psychosocial Pre-Congress programme for EAHAD 2019 and are looking towards future initiatives.
